Is this a download?

The quote builder runs on this site, in your browser. You buy on Gumroad, get a license key by email, and paste it on this site to unlock it. The Contract Pack is a download, delivered by Gumroad with your receipt.

Do I need an account?

No. Your quotes save in your browser. Export a backup file any time to keep a copy or move them to another computer.

Can I use it on more than one device?

Yes. A key can be activated 5 times, once per browser you unlock (clearing your browser data uses another). Need more? Email hello@therateguide.com and we'll reset it.

Does it work for my role?

If you bill by the day, half day, hour or flat fee, yes: DPs, camera operators, ACs, editors, colorists, sound mixers, gaffers, producers, motion designers.

What does my client see?

A clean estimate with your name on it: line items at your standard rates, kit, expenses, any discount as its own line, the total, the deposit, and your terms. Never your private notes or your calculator numbers.

Is this legal or tax advice?

No. The terms are starting points you edit. The Contract Pack has the templates for the agreement itself.

Can I get a refund?

No. All sales are final, because the Contract Pack is an instant download. The sample estimate above is exactly what the builder produces, so you can judge it before you buy. If your key doesn't work, email hello@therateguide.com and we'll fix it.
